Among the highlights of Adi Bar's 2019/20 season are Richard Wagner's concert gala in the Markgräflichen opera house in Bayreuth, concerts for the Beethoven year, including in the Beethoven house in Bonn; in addition to numerous symphony concerts, he will conduct the new productions of Verdi's Nabucco and Rossini's La Cerentola, as well as repertory performances of Verdi's La Traviata, Lehar's Die Lustige Witwe and Prokofiev's Cinderella.

Conductor Adi Bar is active in the fields of both opera and concerts and is numbered among the leading Israeli conductors of the younger generation.

Since his first position as resident conductor (Kapellmeister) at the Augsburg Theater in 2008, he has worked and made guest appearances at many theatres, including the National Theater in Mannheim, the Semperoper in Dresden, the Warsaw National Theater and the Poznan Opera House, to name just a few.

His productions of Penderecki's opera Die Schwarze Maske at the Warsaw National Theater, with the collaboration of the composer, and Verdi's Don Carlo at the Craiova Opera Festival were very favorably received. Since 2017 Adi Bar has worked as a permanent guest conductor and assistant to the General Musical Director of the Poznan Opera.

The list of operas he has conducted includes Otello, Aida, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Tosca, La Boheme, Fidelio, Cavalleria Rusticana, i Pagliacci, Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Mozart's Da Ponte operas.

A great success of the last season was his appearance with Budapest's MAV Symphony Orchestra in Leipzig's Gewandhaus. Adi Bar worked closely with Iván Fischer, whose assistant he had been at the Berlin Konzerthausorchester.

Adi Bar has led many ensembles, among them the Augsburg Philharmonic, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva, the Thuringen Philharmonic Gotha-Eisenach, Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecce, the Südwestfalen Philharmonic, the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot and the Prague Smetana Philharmonic and is a regular guest in leading concert halls, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Leipzig Gewandhaus.

Adi Bar studied piano, Lied interpretation and conducting in Berlin, Jerusalem, Madrid and Frankfurt and has won numerous international music competitions. As a soloist and chamber musician he has given concerts all over the world and made many recordings and radio and  television productions – for SWR, DeutschlandRadio Berlin, RSB, ARD, Kol Israel, Israel Culture Channel, including Schubert's Winterreise, Die Schöne Müllerin, Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 and works for piano by Schumann and Prokofiev.
